The Ease of Movement is a momentum indicator that demonstrates the relationship between the stock's price change and its volume.  This indicator attempts to identify the amount of volume required to move prices.

The Ease of Movement is a momentum indicator that demonstrates the relationship between the stock's price change and its volume.  This indicator attempts to identify the amount of volume required to move prices. Generally a value greater than zero is an indication that the stock is being accumulated (bought) and negative values are used to signal increased selling pressure.


Ease of Movement Interpretation

High Ease of Movement values indicate upward price changes on light volume and low Ease of Movement values indicate downward price changes on light volume. When using the Ease of Movement as a trading signal, buy when the Ease of Movement crosses above zero and sell when the Ease of Movement crosses below zero.
